The House Ways and Means Committee has begun marking up “The One, Big, Beautiful Bill” (that’s the actual name of the bill) that contains key tax provisions, including making many of the TCJA provisions permanent and extending others. There are also some new provisions contained in the legislation including a deduction for tip income and overtime wages.
In today’s video, Paul and I provide a high-level review of some of the major provisions of most importance to farm and ranch clients. We will be doing a deep dive in the bill at our upcoming seminar in Santa Fe on June 5-6. You can join us online as well as in person. By the time we do our seminar in Lancaster, PA, on August 4-5 it is possible that the legislation will be signed into law, and we will be able to fully analyze the provisions and discuss them.
